Manchester 10k Run 2011

Still in complete shock following Lee’s death, his flatmates and work colleagues were determined to raise awareness of SUDEP and raise funds for Epilepsy Research in Lee’s memory. Manchester 10k,the biggest in Europe, was the perfect opportunity to illustrate their affection for Lee and they put together a team of over 20 runners including some "veterans" - Simon (Lee’s Dad), Julian (Lee’s Uncle) and Steve (Lee’s Godfather). The event gave everyone a real chance to focus on creating some positivity out of our tragic loss - but never in our wildest dreams did we expect such support. Over £20,000 was raised in Lee’s memory on that day!!! The Manchester 10k is now a regular event in our calendar - Simon and Dan (Lee’s flatmate) enter every year - their times don’t improve, but their memories of Lee live on forever.

Memories of Lee

"Hi Becky , I haven't got a memory of your brother , but I lost my little brother 16 years ago - he was 27 and I was 5 months pregnant . People say time heals but it doesn't really it still feels like I've had my right arm cut off . If you'd like to talk I would like to get in touch "
